[Verse 1]
A                    G             D         A             G   D
I can see why you think you belong to me
  A                   G               D
I never tried to make you think or
A                                             D
Let you see one thing for yourself
                         C                                                D
But now you're off with someone else and I'm alone
                C                                                       E
You see I thought that I might keep you for my own

A           G                        D

For a while maybe longer if I do

[Instrumental]
| A - G D | A - G D |

[Verse 2]
A                           G          D          A            G   D
Don't you think the time is right for us to find
A                         G                      D
All the things we thought weren't proper
A                                                     D
Could be right in time and can you see
                   C                                          D
Which way we should turn together or alone?
         C                                                   E
I can never see what's right or what is wrong
(yeah, you take too long to see)

[Chorus]
A           G                        D
   Amie, what you wanna do?
A          G                         D
I think I could stay with you
         Bm                                E
For a while maybe longer if I do

A           G                        D
I think I could stay with you
         Bm                                E
For a while maybe longer if I do

[Verse 3]
A                        G               D
Now it's come to what you want
             A                  G D
You've had your way
        A                             G        D         A
And all the things you're fight'n for just faded
                                    D
Into gray and can you see
          C                                           D
That I don't know if it's you or if it's me
        C                                                E
If it's one of us, I'm sure we both will

See (won't you look at me and tell me?)

[Chorus] X2
A           G                        D

Fallin' in and out of love with you
Aadd2                                    G/A      D/A
Don't know what I'm gonna do
            Aadd2                      D/A         Fmaj7  E7  Aadd2
I keep,    fallin' in and out of love, with y...o....u

Amie Piano Tips
1. Take It Slow: It's counterintuitive, but the quickest way to get comfortable and sound great playing a song is to practice it very slowly at first. Steady rhythm and counting are crucial to sounding like a pro, so let yourself get used to feeling the beat at a slow, easy tempo. Once you can nail "Amie" slowly, *gradually* speed it up. You'll sound much better than if you jumped in at full speed!

2. Use The Pedal Wisely: Utilize the sustain pedal to connect the chords smoothly, timing your lifts with the arrival of a new chord. For help with sustain pedal timing, check out this video.

3. Simplify if need be: "Amie" still sounds great even if you simply hold out the chords and ignore most of the rhythm patterns and extra details in the tutorial video. Feel free to keep it simple, especially if you sing while playing. As you get comfortable, you can always add the fancy stuff later.
